Making room, making disciples

Explore this page to learn more and pray that any expansion or improvement would serve a singular purpose – to make room for more people to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

FW Campus

In September of 2018, we officially moved to our new home at 8000 Western Hills Blvd. We are grateful for those who have sacrificially given and invested in this kingdom building resource. We're excited that this new facility gives our body in Fort Worth a permanent home, allowing us to deepen our roots in Tarrant and Parker counties, and further our reach and effectiveness for Christ. We are also excited for the opportunity for future projects!

About the project

It has been a great first year on our campus and we have continued to see more lives changed by Jesus Christ. As the renown of Jesus at work through this body continues to grow, more people are being added to our number!

With that growth, the facilities that we are blessed to have are beginning to reach capacity in a number of areas. Thankfully, we have the opportunity to continue to invest in the mission and create room to make more disciples. Currently, both our children's and student's ministries need room to grow for mid-week and Sunday morning ministry. In addition, our staff is currently leading without offices during the week, and the auditorium is at capacity.

The next phase of campus development will include the renovation of the metal building on the hill to make room for student ministries, staff offices, and mid-week equipping space. We will also be adding 450 seats to the balcony to maximize our auditorium space. The cost for these two projects is estimated to be around $4 million. We currently have $1 million in the building fund. We will begin these projects when resources are available to complete them. Please continue to pray for and invest sacrificially into our growing mission. Pray for the completion of the new campus and for the lives that will be changed here. You can give to the building fund here.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will we take out a loan to complete the renovations?

Due to Scripture's warning about debt, Watermark has chosen to operate with zero debt.

When will the project start?

Using the current available funds, demolition for the metal building should begin in January 2020. We will then begin construction in phases as funds become available. Renovation will initially begin on the metal building, then eventually in conjunction with the balcony. The goal is to complete them around the same time.

What is the expected completion date?

This is entirely dependant on giving but could be done as soon as the end of Summer 2020.

Can we afford a building project?

Our giving is currently covering the cost of ministry. It will be important that giving to the building fund is above and beyond our current giving to the general fund.

How do I respond?
  • We are asking that 100% of our body participate by going to the Lord in prayer, specifically asking whether or not God would have you give toward this opportunity.
  • In the upcoming weeks, share with your community group how you are processing this and how you feel God calling you to respond. Give all the time, talents, and treasure that you can, every time that you can, so that more people come to Christ and are transformed by Him.
  • Pray for the completion of the new campus and for the lives that God will change.
